On iTunes U - Here are some resources that I can use in my classroom:
Lit2Go (KH) - Collection of audio books that are FREE for downloading on to an itouch.
(JB)- Texas Archive of the Moving Image- a film that talks about things, places,mindutries you find in Texas. Includes lesson plan for 4th grade as well as our TEKS
(JB)- Vocab. And Oral Language Development- helps Children with vocabulary as well as comprehension
(LD) - 3rd Grade math - Kelley Randall has a collection of math lessons on video that use lots of the language we use, such as partial products, etc. Even though it's specific to 3rd grade, anyone who needs work at that level could take advantage of what the videos have to offer.
(LD) - 3rd grade math - The Governor's Study Partner Program from the Tennessee State Department of Education - These are podcasts that also cover various concepts in 3rd grade math.
(AW) - Math Elementary Prime Composite Numbers, Math Elementary Metric 2, Math Elementary Function Machine, Math Elementray Finish Fraction.
(RH) - Math Dude, Grammar Girl and Everyday Einstein have podcasts across all age levels. Great, quick, easy to understand tips for math, grammar and science concepts. Can also be accessed from the web at quickanddirtytips.com.
(RH) - 3rd grade reading - Reading Reform Instruction - videos of lessons of multi-syllabic words, vocabulary, and comprehension strategies. #rd grade spefic, but could be used by student learning at that level. (KE)- K, 2nd, 3rd(even though it doesn't state this one we do study this concept and can read higher or lowed if needed), 5th social studies/science- FOSS Landforms Science Stories Audio Stories- listen to or read stories about the different landforms. (KE)- 3rd grade mathematics- The Govenor's Study Partner...volume, lines of symmetry(KE) 3rd Grade Language Arts-The Governor's Partner- editing (capital letters, punctuation) topic sentence in paragraph, Poetry, (KE)-Khan Academy Singapore Math- for extra practice when needed
(BD)- Civil War today This app is good for 5th grade Social studies. It has videos and first hand account of the war and issues of the day. A really cool feature is that it give you a "what happen today" section.
(CLM)- Amusement Park Arcade Sponge Squeeze under The Ohio Bournes, "What's the Problem?" Big and Small Measure It All has some center activities to use measurement with real life examples. Examples include measuring a toy car length in cm,
the water mass of a sponge in g, and the area in cm of your shoe size. This fits intermediate grade levels for math measurement practice.
(MMS) -2nd grade Language Arts -The Governors Study Partner -shows podcasts of various topics such as the parts of a friendly letter and contractions. Explain Everything- this app allows you to create interactive lessons by recording on-screen drawings, annotations, audio and more. Can also be used by students to explain how to do a lesson. Created videos can then be shared in Dropbox or Evernote or uploaded to teachertube. Perfect for the flipped classroom! (ALG)

AW - Monday Math - great idea about weekly problem solvIng on Monday's school wide announcements
RH - Schoolhouse Rock on YouTube. I may be stating the obvious here, but my kids have loved the grammar, math and social studies concepts in these 3 minute videos. Their parents may remember them from when they were kids, too! The songs helped the kids learn and remember the concepts.
SF- Brainpopjr.-kids love it and using the short videos as homework would help the kids come to class ready for discussion and hands-on activities will utilize class time better
also discovery education has great resources. These aren't new to us but using them as homework is new.
SF- YouTube--videos from authors speaking to students. Lucy Caulkins has a video of herself where she speaks to students about how they are writers and how to honor themselves and their classmates as writers. There are many others as well. The videos can also be embedded into blogs.
KS. PBSteachers.com has some great video clips on all kinds of science, social and language topics
KS.Learning games for kids another great set of videosperfect for the early childhood classroom
JJ- Grammer Rock from the school house rock production. These can be accessed on Youtube or School tube.
CC-Discovery Education- They have an education section where you can see lessons and videos that support science concepts in a way that we couldn't replicate in the classroom.

ddm - Big Huge Laps - http://bighugelabs.com/magazine.php - This gives you a place to make magazine covers. Children could learn the 'how to' at home, and come to school to get the assignment. What a fun way to retell a book character,highlight a 'famous person', or give adjectives to describe. Fun-Fun!
LT www.pbskids.org has so many great video clips. I love to use the video clips from the Between the Lions show. The songs that teach phonemic awareness are catchy and the kids love them.
LT BrainPop App (not the website) is a place parents could get onto without a subscription at home. I agree with SF..not a new tool for us, but a fun and different way for flipped learning via the home.
MR Youtube has so many awesome videos to use with kids.....of course you need to view the videos beforehand because sometimes they look appropriate and then they have some part that you may not be comfortable with. Brainpop jr is another favorite site we use frequently
RR - You Tube has great resources for buildingnon skills taughclass the classroom. Often they are short, quick supplements. Discovery Education is another great site I often use.
TT - Dr. Biology has some great information that kids love! Even has a microscopic zoom lense available for kids to view bugs, birds, etc.. Great to explore!
MMS -Brainpop jr. -already been mentioned but they really do offer a motivating intoduction into any new subject and offer quizzes! The kids would love it if this was their homework!
